About · our purpose

Most players train in groups.
Nobody improves in one.

A coach with thirty players and ninety minutes cannot watch any one of them properly. That is not a failing of coaches — it is arithmetic. It just means the thing that actually moves a player on, someone watching them closely and telling them the one thing to fix, is the thing they get least of.

01

What we believe

Attention is the coaching

Not drills, not data. A player improves when someone who knows what they are looking at watches them do it and says something specific.

One thing at a time

A list of twelve corrections changes nothing. We send back what is going well, and the single next move worth working on before you film again.

A person, not a score

Every piece of feedback is written by a coach who watched your clip. No rating out of ten, no leaderboard, nothing generated and sent without a human deciding it was right.

02

Who is behind it

My Rugby was founded in 2026 by James McFarlane. It started from a simple observation: the players who improved fastest were not the ones who trained most, they were the ones who happened to get someone’s full attention.

James reviews every coach who joins the platform personally, and the standard is the same one he holds himself to: would this feedback be worth the player’s week?

03

Younger players

A lot of the people who need this most are still at school. So a player under 16 cannot receive feedback until a parent or guardian has confirmed they know about the account — by email, to an address the player cannot change once it is confirmed.

That guardian gets their own view of everything their child receives. Photographs and video are private by default and are never served publicly.

Get feedback from your coach, wherever you are.
